How to enjoy holidays without putting on weight? 3 TOP TIPS

The simple truth is that we don't like to be told what to eat and not to eat in December ๐Ÿ˜ So I'm not going to do that, instead I'm giving you 3 simple tips on how to enjoy all this delicious food and avoid weight gain ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘

ย 

  1. Sip water or herbal teas throughout the day, but not directly before meals, as it will dilute your digestive juices. Leave at least 30 minutes gap before meal and aim to drink 2-3 litres of water/ herbal teas every day. Peppermint, fennel and dandelion root teas support digestion and adequate hydration will help to feel fuller for longer and promote the elimination.

  2. Have 3 main meals a day, try to avoid snacking in between, and definitely avoid that non-stop grazing throughout a day. Also donโ€™t be tempted to skip any meals, the chances are that you will overeat the next time youโ€™re at the table, and your body will have a hard time trying to digest bigger than usual amount of food.

  3. Aim to fast 15 hours every night, for example if you have your breakfast at 9 am, have your last meal at 6 pm. Your digestive system will be grateful for this much needed rest.
