Flaxseed contains a high concentration of alpha-linolenic acid (Omega 3 fatty acid) and lignan phytonutrients, which could be great for balancing female hormones naturally. It is also a fantastic source od dietary fibre! However if you are buying ground flaxseed, make sure it's been cold milled to protect all of the seeds' nutritional benefits and keep it in the fridge to minimize oxidation...

Defrost your BERRIES in the fridge overnight, that way they will be ready for you in the MORNING to use in the smoothies or on your porridge.


Berries contain great amounts of the disease-fighting phytochemicals which can boost your immunity. They are also lower in sugar than many other fruits, so they are less likely to destabilize your insulin levels...

Soak and rinse your BEANS & LENTILS before cooking... And yes, QUINOA as well!

Soaking for 24 hours and changing the soaking water at least once will reduce the amount of phytic acid - a major "anti-nutrient" in grains and legumes.
It can block the absorption of calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron and copper and inhibit digestive enzymes...
