PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE

The paleo diet is considered to be the native human diet, to which we were genetically adapted about ten thousand years ago. Also called the Caveman, Primal, Hunter/Gatherer and Stone Age Diet.

PALEOLITHIC FOODS

  • Lean meat and fish, ideally organic meat and wild (not farmed) fish,

  • A wide variety of leafy vegetables with no exclusions,

  • Vegetables - excluding potatoes, but including sweet potatoes,

  • Fruits - primarily berries and fruits native to the country of res...

This is a variation of my favourite chicken avocado salad, that I came up with spontaneously and it turned out to be absolutely delicious!

It took about 10 minutes to make, simple and tasty and most of all made of real food 💗 

INGREDIENTS (Makes about 3-4 portions):

- 225 g chicken mini fillets (spiced with some chicken seasoning and cooked for about 7 minutes in health grill),

- 1 cup of cooked quinoa (leftover from the yesterday's dinner),

- 1 avocado,

- 200 g baby plum tomatoes, 

- 2 oranges.

This is a basic lentil dhal recipe and one of my favourite vegan dinners. If you're new to vegan cooking, this recipe would be brilliant to start with. I always use red split lentils and rinse them and soak for about 24 hours before cooking, changing the soaking water at least twice. That way the phytic acid content is reduced and the lentils are easier to digest. And did you know that lentils count towards your 7-a-day???
